2011 Holiday Homespun Chick Marketplace

December 8, 2011 by

This is the second time I participated in this Marketplace, and my third show. I totally love being part of this talented group of crafters. The organizers Amy and Kati at TwoFloridaGirls, once again pulled off a successful show. I think that I enjoyed this one the most, since I LOVE Christmas… the vibe inside the show was great while listening to the festive playlists. This show was held last Sun Dec. 5th at The Redeemer Church located in Winter Garden. Great venue!I sold a total of 54 soaps in this 3.5 hour-event. I was very happy!! The setting of my booth was pretty crazy, since I was by myself… plus being 5.3 feet tall does not help at all when you are setting up your backdrops!!
This is how my booth was looking at the show. It was located in the corner on the left hand side of the main entrance.

Since I knew I was not going to be able to look around, I went ahead and checked all the crafters websites that were participating in the show. I ordered some super cute things ahead of time, so I just had to pick them up at the event.
I bought from Christy at Oh My Friend two super cute tree ornaments for my niece and nephew. I am pretty  sure they will love them. You still have some time to buy one of her unique ornament designs!!

My lovely neighbor is the most talented 14 year-old that I have ever meet. She is the owner of Dress it up Boutique. She makes the cutest hair bows and headbands. Her mom Cheryl, grandma, and her sweet little sister were helping and supporting her at the event. Please, visit her website, reasonable prices, great designs, bright colors, you will love her creativity and talent. I wish her the best!Since I was one of the lucky winners of a $20 gift certificate to use with any of the vendors at the marketplace, I could not resist spending it all buying some super cute bows and one pink-purple headband for my princesses. Hannah’s favorite color is PINK, so it was a big success!!

Dawn at Addy&Tabby made these GORGEOUS dresses for my little princesses. She was not able to participate as a vendor at the Homespun Chic Marketplace, but I would recommend her beautiful designs to everybody. High quality, beautiful print fabrics,  and super cute designs!!  Hannah tried it on as soon as we got home, besides the fact that she looked super cute, she loves it and wanted to go to school the next day wearing it lol
custom order Emily pillowcase dresses in Sweet Divinity (size 18/24m and 3T). One of my close friend’s son’s Birthday party is this coming Saturday and I think it is the perfect occasion for them to try it on :D
For my floridian followers keep an eye on Homespun Chick Marketplace FB page for upcoming shows. I promise you will find unique, beautiful, high quality things for you and your love ones.
Thanks for supporting us, small business owers, who make these handcrafted items with love to spread to you and your loved ones.
 Happy soaping!!
 Ada

Oh Ada you are so sweet :) It was such a pleasure to meet you at the show and I can’t wait to give the teachers their soap gifts! I know they will love them. Addy kept trying to eat the ice cream cone soap so we had to buy her a real cupcake outside from the Yum Yum truck :) I’m so happy your girls loved their dresses.
